Formed in 2005 from the ashes of three different Finnish bands, Ghost Brigade forged the the sounds of American Sludge Metal, Melodic Death Metal, and Post-Metal into a style of their own, that is very much identified as nothing other than Ghost Brigade. Melodic and harsh vocals, folk and down tuned guitars, electronic sounds and interludes, traditional instrumentation, Ghost Brigade was a band of polar dynamics.
Guided by Fire (2007)
Guided by Fire their first full length album showcased these sounds in nearly every song. Beautiful piano passages over sludgy distorted guitar, beautiful soaring choruses accompanied by a dark overall atmosphere that cemented their sound.

The album is a tour de force of Melodic Doom that the band had forged over their career. The band would announce after several canceled shows due to Covid-19 that they would be disbanding due to cost of touring and an inability to continue through the pandemic era.

Ghost Brigade leaves behind an almost unheard legacy. They were never showcased on large world wide tours or gained much traction outside of their homeland of FInland. Blending the best things in melodeath, doom, sludge, and post metal, their sound was their own and would go on to influence many bands in the future
